Alby Daniels is a singer/producer out of London/Brighton who The Guardian compare to the likes of Flying Lotus and D'Angelo (some pretty good company to be in!) With his eclectic production and crooning vocals you can see where these comparisons may come from.

The band is made up essential of just producer Benjamin Plant, however the live band is made of Platt and three others.

Platt released the band's first EP back in 2008, titled the 'Bravado' EP. Off the back of that five-track EP Miami Horror were signed to EMI music with whom they released their debut album 'Illumination' in 2010.

INTRODUCING OCEAN CITY DEFENDER

Ocean City Defender (real name K. Preston Merkley) is a multi-instrumentalist/producer out of Ontario who makes lush synth-pop songs. Preston makes music that sounds like it has being played by a whole band and he has a similar style to that of M83.

His debut EP 'Golden Hour' was released last month and you can get it here for whatever price you would like to pay for it. The stand out track for me on the EP is the title track 'The Golden Hour,' everything just seems to fit perfectly from the Bass, to the the dreamy synths to the drums.

ZZ Ward is a singer-songwriter born in Pennsylvania and raised in Oregon. She grew up listening to her dad performing in Blues bands and when she was old enough she performed with him. As she got older she started writing hooks for local rappers which led to her falling in love with Hip-Hop. You can hear the fusion of the two in her music with some very Hip-Hop infused productions.

She released her debut mixtape 'Eleven Roses' which you can download from here or listen to it below. She is currently preparing her debut album and has been working with Hip-Hop great DJ Premier.
