JOKER - MAIDE VALE SESSION

Joker dropped by Maide Vale to record a live session for the BBC. He performed his tracks 'Back In The Days' and 'On My Mind.'

One of my favourite tracks of Joker's debut E.P. gets the remix treatment. The track features Ghetts, Lil Nasty and Shadz. I don't think this can top the original, but Ghetts has some good bars.

INTRODUCING RUSTIE

When you think Rustie, you think Hudson Mohawke. Both artists are from Glasgow, both make glitched out electro Hip-Hop and both are affiliated to Warp Records.

Rustie released his debut EP 'Jagz The Smack' in 2007 to much critical acclaim. In the last 4 years he has released another five EP's leading up to the release of his 2011 debut album 'Glass Swords.' The Guardians Alex Macpherson had this to say of the album;

"Glass Swords is almost entirely composed of dancefloor highs, a series of those hands-in-the-air peak-time moments that stick in the memory long after the rest of the night has turned hazy."


The album has moments of sheer brilliance and many similarities to Hud Mo's previous releases. Below you can listen to 'Ultra Thizz' taken off the album and also his remix of Joker's 'On My Own.'

JOKER - THE VISION

Joker's album 'The Vision' is out today and it's even better than I had expected. If you were looking for a Dubstep album then this is not it, it seems Joker can just move from genre to genre with ease. You can buy the album here here. Below you can listen to two of my favourite tracks from the album. The first is titled 'Lost' and features frequent collaborator Buggsy and Ottis Brown. The second song is called 'Milky Way' and is a pretty standard Joker track.
